HENDRIX, JIMI-LIVE AT BERKELEY (2LP'S+BOOK) -1970-FIRST PRESS 2003 (LIMITED EDITION) UK/EU - MCA-B0001159-01. A very rare limited edition and numbered British original. Live at Berkeley is a live album by American rock musician Jimi Hendrix. It documents his second performance at the Berkeley Public Theater on May 30, 1970, and was released by MCA Records on September 16, 2003. Hendrix performed in Berkeley about a month after his The Cry of Love tour with bassist Billy Cox and drummer Mitch Mitchell. The setlist was pretty typical for the tour - a mix of popular tunes and some new material. "Hey Joe", "Foxey Lady", "Purple Haze" and "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" have been in Hendrix's concert repertoire since he first recorded them."Machine Gun" was released two months earlier on the live Band of Gypsys album, and "Hey Baby (New Rising Sun)" was in development for his planned fourth studio album. CHARLES LLOYD-SOUNDTRACK- 1969-FIRST PRESS USA-ATLANTIC-SD1519. A rare original by one of the iconic saxophonists of the second wave of the 60s. The Soundtrack is a live album by jazz saxophonist Charles Lloyd, recorded at New York City Hall in 1968 by the Charles Lloyd Quartet featuring Keith Jarrett, Ron McClure and Jack DeJohnette.Tom Jurek's review on Allmusic awarded the album 4 stars and reads: "The soundtrack stomps with all the fury of a live gospel choir trying to assign Saturday night to God and not another guy... The band is in a heavy Latin American mood, where blues, samba, bossa, hard bop, modal and even soul are saturated with blues. With only four tunes presented, the Charles Lloyd Quartet, although slightly more dissonant than in 1966 and 1967, plays much harder, rougher and gets into rhythm faster than any group that Lloyd led previously... The band broke up shortly after when Jarrett left to play with Miles Davis, but if it had been a swan song live, they couldn't have picked a better gig. ...more

KRAFTWERK-RALF AND FLORIAN-1973-THE FIRST PRESS GERMANY-PHILIPS-6305197 Mega rare original in full configuration, with a poster for 8 spreads. The third studio album by the German electronic band Kraftwerk. It was released in October 1973 on Philips. In it, the band moved towards their signature electronic sound.. In 1975, it reached number 160 on the US Top 200 Albums chart. Along with Kraftwerk's first two albums, Ralf und Florian has not been officially reissued anywhere to date, and the band has not performed any of their material live since the late 70s. Nevertheless, the album remains an influential and sought-after work. In 2008, Fact named it one of the 20 greatest ambient albums ever made.   The record included a "musical" poster with caricatures of Emil Schult, who played the electric violin live with the band (although he does not appear on the album recordings). Schult remained an employee of Kraftwerk. Cartoons illustrated each track of the album, as well as the city of Dusseldorf with the caption "In Dusseldorf on the Rhine, klingt es bald!", which literally translates from English as "In Dusseldorf on the Rhine it will sound soon" ...more

Produced by Bob Johnston, the album was released on October 24, 1966 in the United States on Columbia Records. Many critics consider it a breakthrough recording for the duo and one of their best works.
