STING-BRING ON THE NIGHT (2LP'S)-1986-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-AM-829473-1. ...A rare European original of Sting's first live tour. BRING ON THE NIGHT is Sting's first live album, recorded during several concerts in 1985 and released in 1986. The title is taken from a song by the Police from their 1979 album Reggatta de Blanc. The songs performed include Sting's early solo material from the studio album The Dream of the Blue Turtles and from his time with The Police, with some performances performed as a medley of the two. The touring band features prominent jazz musicians Branford Marsalis on tenor and soprano saxophones, Darryl Jones on bass guitar, Kenny Kirkland on keyboards and synthesizer, and Omar Hakim on drums. Backing vocalists Janice Pendarvis and Dolette McDonald also perform. Despite the lack of hit singles, the album reached number 16 on the UK album Charts and earned Sting a Grammy Award in 1988 for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance. ...more

A very early reissue of the album with a re-recorded sound. Electric Ladyland is the third and final album by the Jimi Hendrix Experience, released in 1968.Recording the album was accompanied by constant difficulties. After a troubled tour of Scandinavia and England, Hendricks decided to move to the US. Disillusioned with the creative limitations of record companies, he set up his own Studio in new York city, where he could implement all his musical ideas. The construction of the Studio was accompanied by problems, and its construction was finally completed only in the mid-70s.As a result, Jimi recorded the bulk of the material at the Record Plant studios.
