GROUNDHOGS-BLACK DIAMOND-1976-FIRST PRESS UK-UA-UAS29994. Matrix A-1U/B-1U is a very rare British original of the cult prog blues band.Black Diamond is the ninth studio album by the British rock band The Groundhogs. Recorded in July-August 1976 at T.S. Studios in Haverhill, England, it was released in the fall by United Artists. This album differs from its predecessors with a much richer sound and a finely honed technique of execution. Tony McPhee tried to make the music of the album even more uncompromising, which he wanted to emphasize with a tougher sound of guitars and amplification of keyboards (synthesizers), which, of course, he played himself. A very big influence on him during this period was exerted by "King Crimson", who later, in turn, themselves learned a lot from the album "Black Diamond", when they were once again revived at the turn of the millennium. Nevertheless, the departure from a purely bluesy sound was not very liked by the fans of "The Groundhogs", which did not slow down to affect the contract with the record company. Black Diamond is the last studio album of the "Golden Age" of the band, after which the band ceased to exist and was revived with a new line-up only in 1985 (the year of the release of the new album). ...more

In support of the record, three singles were released — "Over My Head", "Rhiannon" and "Say You Love Me" — each of which hit the top twenty of the charts, with the last two stopping a step away from the Top 10 - both at 11th place. The record received seven times platinum certification in the United States, with a total circulation of more than seven million copies. The record was less successful in the United Kingdom, taking only 23rd place there, but it became a prelude to a series of local bestsellers - the four next Fleetwood Mac albums — Rumours, Tusk (English)rus., Tango in the Night and Behind the Mask (English)rus. — each of which topped the national hit parade ...more

ROLLING STONES-AFTERMATH -1966-FIRST PRESS(MONO) UK-DECCA - LK4786 Matrix XARL-7209-1B/XARL-7210-1A Stamper 1I/1M (Dream!) Aftermath is the fourth British and sixth American studio album by the British rock band The Rolling Stones, released in two versions. The British version of the record (Decca Records) was released on April 15, 1966, intended for sale in the United States (London Records) on June 20. The CD is designed in the classic rhythm and blues style for the band, but it has become more "experimental" than its predecessors; for example, in a number of songs such non-standard instruments for rock music as sitar, accordion and marimba (African xylophone) are used. It is believed that the recording of Aftermath has become one of the most important milestones in the work of the band. In 2002, the album was included in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time at number 108 ...more
