BLIND FAITH-BLIND FAITH-1969-SECOND PRESS UK-POLYDOR-583059. Matrices A-1/B-1. A very rare second press of a cult album in top condition. Blind Faith is the only album by the British rock band of the same name, it was released in August 1969 and immediately topped the charts in the United States and Great Britain. The recording took place in London, first at Morgan Studios, and then at Olympic Studios, under the direction of producer Jimmy Miller. All tracks on this album belong to the band members, except for a cover version of "Well All Right" from Buddy Holly's repertoire. The album received positive reviews from critics, was a great commercial success and immediately topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. The cover of the album published in the UK shows a young topless girl (the younger sister of photographer Bob Seideman, the creator of the cover) holding a model airplane in her hands. In the USA, this picture was considered not quite decent, and the album was also released with an alternative cover, which featured a photo of the band members. A rare British original.  Stranded is the third studio album by the British rock band Roxy Music, released by Island Records in 1973. The CD was recorded at London's Air Studios. Stranded, an album featuring collaborators Bryan Ferry, Andy McKay and Phil Manzanera for the first time, rose to the top of the UK Albums Chart. The track "Street Life", released as a single, rose to #9 in the UK. Bryan Ferry listed the band's third album as one of his favorite creations. Best of the Beach Boys is the first compilation album released by the American rock band The Beach Boys on the Capitol Records label in 1966. The first version was released in the United States on July 5, 1966, two months after Pet Sounds. Another version of Best of The Beach Boys was released in the UK on November 11, 1966 with a different track listing. Best of The Beach Boys includes a selection of 12 songs in Britain, 14 recorded by the band from 1962 to 1965, many of which were singles or B-sides. The album reached number eight on the US charts and was certified gold by the RIAA on April 12, 1967, and double platinum on December 1, 1991. ...more
