KINKS- KONTROVERSY-1965-THE FIRST PRESS (STEREO)UK-PYE-NSPL18131359 Matrix A-2/B-2 . A very rare original of the iconic album  The Kink Kontroversy is the third studio album by English rock band The Kinks. It was released in the United Kingdom on November 26, 1965 by Pye Records. Released in the United States on March 30, 1966 by Reprise Records, it became The Kinks' first American album with the same track list as its British counterpart. This is a transitional album containing elements of both earlier Kinks styles (songs with strong blues influences such as "Milk Cow Blues" and variations on the themes of the band's hits from 1964 to 1965 based on power chords such as "Until the End of the Day") and early indications of the future direction of Ray Davis' songwriting styles ("The World Keeps Going Round" and "I'm on an Island"). The title notes were written by Michael Aldred. The single "Till the End of the Day" became a real hit, peaking at number 8 in the UK and number 50 in the US, staying on each chart for eight weeks or more.
