Deep Purple in Rock is the fourth studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple, released on June 5, 1970 on Harvest Records. This is the first studio album recorded with the classic band line-up called "Mark II" (a little earlier, this line-up recorded the live album Concerto for Group and Orchestra). Since this album, the band's style has changed dramatically. Deep Purple started playing hard rock almost simultaneously with such bands as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, and are considered one of the founders and classics of this genre. According to the music critic, "the record became the epicenter of destruction, a fresh stream in the rock of the 1970s and a turn in history, in which the roots of the heavy metal style were laid." Deep Purple in Rock became the band's breakthrough album in Europe and reached number four on the UK national charts, remaining on the charts for over a year. His accompanying single "Black Night" reached the 2nd line. It has been included in various lists of the best albums, including Classic Rock magazine's list of the "100 Greatest British Albums of All Time" and Q magazine's list of the "50 Best Albums of the 70s." In 2015, the American website Ultimate Classic Rock ranked the album at the top of its ranking of Deep Purple's best works. DIO-HOLY DIVER-1983-THE FIRST PRESS HOLLAND-MERCURY-811021-1. A very rare European original of the iconic album by the famous vocalist Ronnie James Dio. Holy Diver is the debut studio album by Dio, released in 1983. After leaving Black Sabbath, Ronnie James Dio put together a new band, which included drummer Vinnie Appisi, bassist Jimmy Bain and guitarist Vivian Campbell. Holy Diver's debut album was recorded in the style of Black Sabbath's latest works, which attracted many fans of this band to Ronnie's new band. Holy Diver reached number 13 in the UK charts and number 56 in the US (but here it went gold and subsequently platinum). Critics rate the album highly, and many of the songs from it are considered anthems and classics of heavy rock. Ronnie James Dio himself was recognized by the readers of Kerrang! magazine as the best vocalist, and his band was recognized as the best new band of 1983. CHICKEN SHACK-IMAGINATION LADY-1971-THE FIRST PRESS OF UK-DERAM-SDL5 Matrix A-P2W/B-P2W is a very rare original of the iconic British prog blues band. Imagination Lady is the fifth studio album by the British blues rock band Chicken Shack, led by the band's constant leader, guitarist Stan Webb. Released in 1971 on the Deram label. The band "Chicken Shack" is the brainchild of guitarist Stan Webb. In 1964, Webb formed the band "Sounds of blue", which also included Christina Perfect, Andy Sylvester and Chris Wood. In 1965, the team went to Hamburg to work, but not all musicians were able to go there, and Stan had to recruit new recruits. Two years later, Chicken Shack (as the ensemble was now called) returned to their homeland, and Webb begged Perfect to return to the team. The combination of Stan's bright blues guitar and Kristina's emotional vocals allowed the band to gain a significant number of fans. "Chicken Shack" also attracted the attention of the famous London producer Mike Vernon, who signed them to his company "Blue Horizon". In 1967, the band performed at the National Blues/Jazz Festival in Windsor, and also toured England with their label colleagues, Fleetwood Mac. During these tours, Kristina got together with the bassist of "FM" John McVie, whom she later married. Following this, Webb broke up with his partners who had escaped to Savoy Brown, and soon put together a new version of Chicken Shack with Paul Hancox on drums and John Glascock on bass. After getting a contract from the Deram label, in 1972 the trio released the album "Imagination Lady". A notable moment of the record was the song "Poor Boy", which Webb performed as an encore throughout his later career.  ...more

BEATLES-ABBEY ROAD-1969-THE FIRST UK PRESS-APPLE- PCS7089 A2/B1 matrix. 9MOD/7ARL stamper . A very rare British original of a cult album. Abbey Road is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band The Beatles. Work on Abbey Road took place from February to August 1969 and became the last joint project of all four members of the ensemble (the last numbered album of the group Let It Be, released in 1970, was mostly recorded in January 1969). The record was produced by George Martin, who had worked with the band since 1962. Abbey Road sold four million copies in the first two months. In the UK, the album debuted at the top of the national chart, where it remained for 11 weeks, after which it was replaced by The Rolling Stones' Let It Bleed for one week. Then he returned to 1st place again (during Christmas week) and stayed there for another six weeks (17 weeks in total), until he was replaced by Led Zeppelin's second record, Led Zeppelin II. In total, Abbey Road spent 81 weeks on the UK Albums chart. The situation was similar abroad. The album occupied the top spot of the Billboard Top LP chart for 11 weeks, becoming the best-selling album of 1969 according to the National Association of Recording Companies, as well as one of the record holders of the Japanese chart, appearing in its Top 100 for 298 weeks throughout the 1970s. ...more

NAZARETH- NO MEAN CITY-1978- ORIGINAL PRESS 1982 UK-SAHARA-SAH129. A rare British edition of the iconic album. The tenth studio album by the band Nazareth. The album cover was painted by Rodney Matthews, a famous English fantasy illustrator who created covers for the works of many other artists (Scorpions, Thin Lizzy and others) The title of the CD is borrowed from the novel "No Mean City" (1935) by Alexander MacArthur and Kingsley Long. With this album, the band's sound has become heavier, given the addition of guitarist Zal Cleminson from the Sensational Alex Harvey Band. The popularity of the album allowed the band to perform with several big names such as Thin Lizzy on their 1978/79 tour. ...more
