A Day at the Races is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on December 10, 1976 in the United Kingdom and December 18, 1976 in the United States.The album's title, "A Day at the Races," is taken from the repertoire of the American comedians of the 1930s, the Marx brothers. A Day at the Races immediately came under fire from critics. Queen was accused of unsuccessfully trying to repeat A Night At The Opera. The album turned out to be really very similar to the previous one, but it was never hidden by the musicians. A rare German original of the cult album. Perfect Strangers is the eleventh studio album by British rock band Deep Purple, released on October 29, 1984. It was the most successful album recorded by the reformed "Mark II" line-up.  It was Deep Purple's first studio album in nine years, and the first with the Mk II line-up in eleven years, the last was Who Do We Think We Are in 1973. Richie Blackmore and Roger Glover came from Rainbow, Ian Gillan from Black Sabbath, Jon Lord from Whitesnake and Ian Pace from Gary Moore are backingthe group. The album was a commercial success, reaching number 5 on the UK charts and number 17 on the US Billboard 200. Perfect Strangers became only the second Deep Purple studio album to receive platinum status in the United States after the 1972 album Machine Head. The tour was so successful that the band had to book many additional dates to participate in the American arena tour, as tickets sold out very quickly. A rare German original of a cult prog band. The Quiet Zone / The Pleasure Dome is the eighth studio album by British rock band Van der Graaf Generator, released on September 2, 1977. The last studio recording before the band reunited in 2005. In 1976, two musicians of the classic Van der Graaf Generator line-up left the band: Hugh Banton and David Jackson (who, however, took part in the recording of two tracks). The beautiful, "elegant", interesting music of Spooky Tooth is very good. Despite the quite mainstream nature of this band, they failed to achieve any significant commercial success. But the records they released are still listened to with pleasure today. In general, the group turned out to be a kind of star factory. A LA CARTE-DO WAH DIDDY DIDDY ROUND-1980-THE FIRST PRESS OF GERMANY-HANSA-202143 is a rare original of the cult disco group. A La Carte is a pop disco girl group founded in 1978 in Germany. Producers Tony Hendrik and Karin Hartmann helped create the band. Initially, the trio consisted of three British girls: Patsy Fuller, Julia and Elaine. Their first song was When the Boys Come Home, released in March 1979. After appearing on the TV show Musikladen, the band gained huge popularity in Germany. For unknown reasons, the line-up often changed with the release of new singles. Jenny Renshaw became the only permanent member, joining the band in October 1979. By 1981, the band consisted of Jenny Renshaw, Linda Daniels, and Joy Martin. Together they released the album Viva. Subsequently, the band's line-up changed several times. In 1982, they recorded the album "Rockin' Oldies", which included numerous covers of songs from the 1960s. The band broke up in 1984. ...more
