DEEP PURPLE-PERFECT STRANGERS-1984-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-POLYDOR-823777-1. A rare German original of the cult album. Perfect Strangers is the eleventh studio album by British rock band Deep Purple, released on October 29, 1984. It was the most successful album recorded by the reformed "Mark II" line-up.  It was Deep Purple's first studio album in nine years, and the first with the Mk II line-up in eleven years, the last was Who Do We Think We Are in 1973. Richie Blackmore and Roger Glover came from Rainbow, Ian Gillan from Black Sabbath, Jon Lord from Whitesnake and Ian Pace from Gary Moore are backingthe group. The album was a commercial success, reaching number 5 on the UK charts and number 17 on the US Billboard 200. Perfect Strangers became only the second Deep Purple studio album to receive platinum status in the United States after the 1972 album Machine Head. The tour was so successful that the band had to book many additional dates to participate in the American arena tour, as tickets sold out very quickly. A very rare original in a complete set (poster 65 cm x 65 cm) of the iconic British rock and blues band. Watt's album sounded in many ways like a continuation of "Cricklewood Green": it is based on the same pointed riffs and "angry" vocals, except that the general mood here is a little lighter. Alvin Lee began experimenting with complicated song structures, but achieved the greatest effect in riff stuff ("I'm Coming On"), soul-country "My Baby Left Me" (unrelated to the Elvis Presley song), "I Say Yeah", where the synthesizer sounds quite in the spirit of Keith Emerson ("Aquatarkus") and the ballad "Think About The Times".. After the release of the Watt album, the band's contract expired, and Wright transferred it to Columbia Records. ...more

KEITH JARRETT-NUDE ANTS (2LP'S)-1980-FIRST PRESS GERMANY- ECM-ECM 1171/72. A rare original of the iconic jazzman. The album, recorded by jazz pianist Keith Jarrett in May 1979 and released on ECM in May 1980, is the third release by his "European Quartet" featuring saxophonist Jan Garbarek and rhythm section, Palle Danielsson and John Christensen. After 1974, the AllMusic review by Scott Yanow states: "Due to the popularity of the obsessive "My Song" this album is the most famous of Jarrett and Garbarek's collaborations, and in fact it's their most rewarding meeting ever. Jarrett wrote all six tracks, and the results were relaxed and introspective, but at the same time full of inner tension."  ...more

A LA CARTE-DO WAH DIDDY DIDDY ROUND-1980-THE FIRST PRESS OF GERMANY-HANSA-202143 is a rare original of the cult disco group. A La Carte is a pop disco girl group founded in 1978 in Germany. Producers Tony Hendrik and Karin Hartmann helped create the band. Initially, the trio consisted of three British girls: Patsy Fuller, Julia and Elaine. Their first song was When the Boys Come Home, released in March 1979. After appearing on the TV show Musikladen, the band gained huge popularity in Germany. For unknown reasons, the line-up often changed with the release of new singles. Jenny Renshaw became the only permanent member, joining the band in October 1979. By 1981, the band consisted of Jenny Renshaw, Linda Daniels, and Joy Martin. Together they released the album Viva. Subsequently, the band's line-up changed several times. In 1982, they recorded the album "Rockin' Oldies", which included numerous covers of songs from the 1960s. The band broke up in 1984. ...more
