Work on Abbey Road took place from February to August 1969 and became the last joint project of all four members of the ensemble (the last numbered album of the group Let It Be, released in 1970, was mostly recorded in January 1969). The record was produced by George Martin, who had worked with the band since 1962. Abbey Road sold four million copies in the first two months. In the UK, the album debuted at the top of the national chart, where it remained for 11 weeks, after which it was replaced by The Rolling Stones' Let It Bleed for one week. Then he returned to 1st place again (during Christmas week) and stayed there for another six weeks (17 weeks in total), until he was replaced by Led Zeppelin's second record, Led Zeppelin II. In total, Abbey Road spent 81 weeks on the UK Albums chart. The situation was similar abroad. The album occupied the top spot of the Billboard Top LP chart for 11 weeks, becoming the best-selling album of 1969 according to the National Association of Recording Companies, as well as one of the record holders of the Japanese chart, appearing in its Top 100 for 298 weeks throughout the 1970s. ...more

WHITESNAKE-SLIDE IT IN-1984-THE FIRST EU-GERMANY-LIBERTY-1C0642400001 PRESS.A very rare European original by a cult hard band. Slide It In is the sixth studio album by English rock band Whitesnake. Originally released on January 30, 1984 in Europe by the Liberty/EMI label, it was redesigned for the American market and released on April 16, 1984 in North America by the Geffen label. A "European" mix was released in Japan on March 23, 1984, and an "American" remix from CBS/Sony was released on December 21, 1984. Although he was not a great success, he helped the group enter the American market and achieve a breakthrough in the late 1980s. Historically, this was the last Whitesnake recording to use the band's original "snake" logo. The album reached number 9 in the charts, becoming the fourth in the top 10 in the UK. In the United States, it reached number 40 on the Billboard 200 chart. In 1988, the album returned to the US charts due to the success of Whitesnake's self-titled album (1987) and eventually went double platinum, taking 1st place in the number of weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. NIRVANA -LOCAL ANAESTHETIC-1971-THE FIRST UK PRESS-VERTIGO-SWIRL-6360031. A mega rare original of one of the masterpieces of the British rock prog. Originally released on the Vertigo label in 1971, Local Anesthetic was the first album released under the NIRVANA name featuring only half of the original songwriting duo, Patrick Campbell-Lyons, who had been left alone after amicably parting ways with Alex Spyropoulos a few months earlier, disappointed by the band's lack of success, especially after the disastrous previous opus, and decided to pursue a career as a composer for the television and film industry. On Local Anesthetic, Campbell-Lyons chose a more “progressive” direction: the album consists of two long suites featuring saxophonist Mel Collins (KING CRIMSON) and the band JADE WARRIOR, among others. To be fair, it's worth noting that this CD wasn't a success either. The first track was a kind of psychedelic trance, with rather nondescript arrangements and the absence of any highlights, which cannot be said about the second side. The epic ”Home", consisting of five parts, is simply amazing, with its signature melodic lines and musical diversity - hard rock, blues rock, and psychedelia have not gone away, and the influence of jazz is palpable.
