BOWIE, DAVID-STAGE (2 LP'S)-1978-FIRST PRESS UK-RCA- PL02913(2) A rare double concert by a British legend. Stage is the second live album by English musician David Bowie, recorded during the Isolar II Tour and released on RCA Records in 1978. The recording was made at concerts in Philadelphia, Providence, and Boston, USA, in late April and early May 1978. It mainly included material from Bowie's last studio albums at that time, "Station to Station", "Low" and "Heroes" (both 1977), but also contained five songs from "The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars" (1972). In addition to Bowie's main band, consisting of Carlos Alomar, Dennis Davis and George Murray, the band included former Frank Zappa member Adrian Belew on guitar, Simon House from Hawkwind on electric violin, Roger Powell, best known for working with Todd Rundgren in the band Utopia, on keyboards and Sean Mays on piano, string ensemble and backing vocals. They all reunited the following year on Bowie's next studio album Lodger (1979). Stage was a commercial success. In the UK, she took 5th place in the charts and subsequently received a gold certificate from the British Phonogram Producers Association (BPI). It also reached number 44 on the US charts.

A rare Japanese original of a cult album.The Blue Ridge Rangers is the first solo studio album by John Fogerty, former vocalist and guitarist of Creedence Clearwater Revival. When originally released on Fantasy Records in 1973, the album was credited to The Blue Ridge Rangers without mentioning Fogerty on the cover. Fogerty decided to do so in order to distance himself from his Creedence legacy. The album consists entirely of traditional and country covers, and Fogerty plays all the instruments. The album reached 47th place in the charts. Two singles from the album became hits: "Jambalaya", which reached number 16 in the United States and 15 in Canada, and "Hearts of Stone", which reached number 37 in the United States and 35 in Canada. The third single not included in the album, "You Don't Owe Me" reached 79th place in Canada. ...more

The Star Fleet Project is a solo project by Brian May, Queen's guitarist, and a mini-album of the same name. The album, released under the name "Brian May + Friends", features May, guitarist Eddie Van Halen, drummer Alan Gratzer (then playing in REO Speedwagon), Phil Chen (session bassist who played with Jeff Beck and Rod Stewart) and Fred Mandel (keyboardist Alice Cooper and additional keyboardist in Hot Space Tour and The Works by Queen). "The result is high-octane instrumental compositions in the rock style, which instantly became "royal" and are not much different from Flash with the addition of guitar pyrotechnics." The recordings were not intended for release and were minimally mixed. "[May] called the Star Fleet Project a 'mini-album' because he considered it... too short to be a full-fledged album, but too long to even be a single."
