URIAH HEEP-...VERY 'EAVY VERY 'UMBLE-1970-THE FIRST PRESS OF GERMANY- VERTIGO SWIRL-6360006. A very rare German original of the cult album. The album was released in June 1970 by Vertigo Records in the UK. The original vinyl release was a spread-out envelope with frontman David Byron depicted on the front sleeve, almost unrecognizable under the cobwebs. It was released in August 1970 by Mercury Records in the United States under the name just Uriah Heep with a different cover design (a centipede-type monster) and with the track "Bird of Prey" instead of "Lucy Blues". The album was re-released by Bronze Records in 1971 after the band signed a contract with that label. The album shows how the band tries different genres – a mix of heavy metal and progressive rock, rather than hard rock, which they became known for on later albums. Tracks 3 and 8 were recorded as Spice songs before the band's renaming to Uriah Heep, and featured session musician Colin Wood on keyboards. When Ken Hensley joined Spice in early 1970, the tracks were not re-recorded. ...more

A rare Danish original of the iconic album. In Person is a live album recorded by Ray Charles on May 28, 1959, on a rainy night in Atlanta, Georgia, at Herndon Stadium of Morris Brown College. The album was recorded by the concert's sponsor, WAOK radio station. The radio station's leading disc jockey Zenas "Daddy" Sears recorded an album for the audience using a single microphone. The album is notable for its technical excellence in terms of the balance between the band, the singer and the audience, as well as the fact that it documents Ray Charles' jazzy R and B sound before he achieved great success. Aladdin Sane is the sixth studio album by English musician David Bowie, released in the United Kingdom on April 19, 1973 on the RCA Records label. A follow-up to his breakthrough The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, it was the first album he wrote and released from a star position. The album was produced by Bowie and Ken Scott and features performances by Bowie's backing band The Spiders from Mars — Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder and Mick Woodmansey — with pianist Mike Garson, two saxophonists and three backing vocalists. Recorded in London and New York during the breaks between the stages of the Ziggy Stardust tour, the album was Bowie's last with the full line-up of The Spiders. Aladdin Sane was released in the UK on the RCA label on April 19, 1973. With an estimated order of 100,000 copies, the album debuted at the top of the UK Albums chart, where it lasted five weeks. In the United States, where Bowie has already had three albums on the charts, Aladdin Sane reached 17th place on the Billboard Top LPs chart.  Tape, which became Bowie's most successful commercial album in both countries at the time. According to Pegg, this was unheard of at the time and guaranteed Aladdin Sane's status as the best-selling album in the UK since The Beatles. WINGS-LONDON TOWN-1978-THE FIRST JAPAN PRESS-MPL-EPS-81000 Rare Japanese original in top condition with a poster.  London Town is the sixth studio album by the British—American rock band Wings. It was released in March 1978, two years after its predecessor Wings at the Speed of Sound. The album had a long and stormy preparation, during which the band's 1977 tour plans were canceled due to the fact that Linda McCartney became pregnant with her and Paul McCartney's fourth child, and two Wings members left, leaving the band as a trio consisting of Paul, Linda and Danny Lane. Recording sessions took place intermittently throughout the year, mostly at Abbey Road Studios in London and aboard a luxury yacht in the Virgin Islands. "London Town" reached the top 5 of the UK and US charts. However, he failed to repeat the success of the three previous Wings albums, and he received mostly negative reviews from music critics. The lead single "With a Little Luck" became a number 1 hit in the United States, but subsequent singles from the album had only minor chart success. Also recorded during the sessions was the 1977 single "Mull of Kintyre", which until 1984 was the best-selling single in the history of the British charts and remains the best-selling single in the UK to this day. ...more
