URIAH HEEP-...VERY 'EAVY VERY 'UMBLE-1970-THE FIRST PRESS OF GERMANY- VERTIGO SWIRL-6360006. A very rare German original of the cult album. The album was released in June 1970 by Vertigo Records in the UK. The original vinyl release was a spread-out envelope with frontman David Byron depicted on the front sleeve, almost unrecognizable under the cobwebs. It was released in August 1970 by Mercury Records in the United States under the name just Uriah Heep with a different cover design (a centipede-type monster) and with the track "Bird of Prey" instead of "Lucy Blues". The album was re-released by Bronze Records in 1971 after the band signed a contract with that label. The album shows how the band tries different genres – a mix of heavy metal and progressive rock, rather than hard rock, which they became known for on later albums. Tracks 3 and 8 were recorded as Spice songs before the band's renaming to Uriah Heep, and featured session musician Colin Wood on keyboards. When Ken Hensley joined Spice in early 1970, the tracks were not re-recorded. ...more

This album marked a change for the Bee Gees, as it was their first album to include disco-influenced songs, and established a model for the rest of the 1970s. Screaming for Vengeance is the eighth studio album by English heavy metal band Judas Priest, released on July 1, 1982 on Columbia Records. It is considered the band's commercial breakthrough in North America and has been certified double platinum in the United States and platinum in Canada. ROLLING STONES-ROCK "N"-1972-THE FIRST UK PRESS-DECCA-SKL5149. A rare British original of a cult album. Rock 'n' Rolling Stones is a compilation album by the Rolling Stones, released in 1972. It reached 41st place in the UK Albums chart. The album contains five Chuck Berry covers, as well as Berry-related songs such as "Route 66" and "Down the Road Apiece". This album was the second "post-contract" album released by Decca after the termination of their relationship with the Stones in 1971. Due to the nature of the contract, the band lost all control over their recordings until 1971, which are jointly managed by Decca and ABKCO Records. ...more

JAN GARBAREK GROUP-IT'S OK TO LISTEN TO THE GRAY VOICE -1985-FIRST PRESS GERMANY- ECM-ECM1294. A rare original of the iconic jazzman. An album by Jan Garbarek's band, recorded in December 1984 and released on ECM in September of the following year. The quartet consists of David Thorne, Eberhard Weber and Michael Di Pasqua. AllMusic gave the album four stars, and critic Mark W. B. Allender wrote: Here Garbarek approaches the extremes of his style, performing with his band again. All the compositions on this album are named after quotes from Thomas Transtroemer's poems, and although the connection with these poems remains weak at best, they add a provocative element to the compositions themselves, which require at least some kind of programmatic interpretation. Multi-instrumentalist David Thorne is primarily responsible for the more aggressive nature of this record. His guitar parts explode with energy and tension, giving Garbarek a wider playing field, and given his penchant for excessive restraint, these are the pleasant moments that adorn the album. ...more
