In the United States, the album was released in March 1972 under the title "No Answer" after a United Artists Records employee misunderstood a phone call and asked for the album's name; the caller, unable to contact ELO, wrote "no answer" in his notes, and this was misinterpreted as the album's title. The album is dedicated to the main trio of Roy Wood, Jeff Lynne and Bev Bevan, who were the remaining members of the rock band The Move. The Move continued to release singles in the UK at the same time that the project was launched, but interest in Wood's former band soon waned. Indelibly Stamped is the second album by the English rock band Supertramp, released in 1971. It marked a drastic change of direction to a more straightforward rock sound, and, according to the band members themselves, "Traveled" is the only song that somehow resembles their debut album. Like their debut album, this album was a commercial failure upon release, but went gold in France and Canada in the following decades. The original editions have a color cover with a flap and other text for the band name and album. The cover depicts a woman with a naked torso and tattoos on her arms.
