Released on August 12, 1991 by Elektra Records, it is commonly referred to as the Black Album due to its packaging design. His recording took place in a one-on-one studio in Los Angeles for eight months, during which Metallica often clashed with its new producer Bob Rock. The album marked a change in the band's music from the thrash metal style of their previous four albums to a slower, heavier and more refined sound. Metallica performed Metallica in full during the 2012 Black Albums European Tour. In 2020, the album was ranked 235th in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest Albums of all time. In December 2019, Metallica became the fourth release in American history to reach the 550-week milestone on the Billboard 200 chart. A rare Japanese original of the cult album. A New World Record is the sixth studio album by the British band Electric Light Orchestra, released in September 1976. The album was remastered and re-released in 2006 with the addition of six bonus tracks. A New World Record became the band's first album to reach the top ten in the UK (the previous three albums had great success in the USA, but not in the homeland of the musicians). The album was certified platinum in both the UK and the USA, and sold five million copies in the first year after its release. JOPLIN, JANIS-IN CONCERT (2LP'S)-1972- FIRST PRESS USA-COLUMBIA-AL31162.  A rare American original of the cult album. In Concert is a live album by Janis Joplin. It was released in 1972, after Joplin's death, as a double album. The first record contains performances with Big Brother and the Holding Company, and the second with the Full Tilt Boogie Band, recorded in different locations in 1968 and 1970. There are no live recordings from her first solo work with the Kozmic Blues band on the album, although the songs produced with this group were performed in Full Tilt Boogie Band recordings. The photographs used for the gatefold album were taken by photographer David Gar in New York in 1969 and 1970. The album peaked at number four on the Billboard 200 in the US. ...more

The Last Waltz was advertised as the band's "farewell concert",[2] and the band was joined at the concert by over a dozen special guests, including their previous employers Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan, as well as Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, The Staple Singers, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood and Neil Young. The musical director of the concert was the original producer of the band John Simon. The concert was produced and hosted by Bill Graham and directed by Martin Scorsese, who turned it into a documentary film of the same name, released in 1978. "The Last Waltz" is one of the best, if not the best, rock films ever made, which reveals and energizes a classical band at the peak of its popularity." Chicago Tribune film critic Michael Wilmington calls it "the greatest rock concert film ever made, and arguably the best rock film in history."Terry Lawson of the Detroit Free Press comments, "This is one of the greatest films."  Total Film considers it "the greatest concert film ever made."
