"Over the Hudson" is the third studio album by Soviet, American and Russian author-performer Willy Tokarev, released in 1983 on the Sava Recording Corporation label in the USA. The producer is Willy Tokarev. At the age of 40, in 1974, Willy Tokarev emigrated to the United States with $100 in his pocket. He was sheltered for 2-3 weeks by the Tolstoy Foundation, whose head was Alexandra Tolstaya, daughter of Leo Tolstoy. There he was a courier, a cleaner in a bakery, sorted through the Russian library of a millionaire, a newspaper deliveryman, became unemployed because he did not know English well, so he began to learn the language by reading American newspapers, graduated from a nurse's course, learned to drive a car, passed a taxi driving test and began working as a taxi driver to earn money for recording records, writing songs in his spare time, he was robbed four times (once, on Christmas Day, he was almost killed by a black man). He played at Carnegie Hall on a balalaika, which he bought at a souvenir shop on Fifth Avenue for $ 50, then played and sang in restaurants and nightclubs. In 1979, the first record "And life is always beautiful!" was released, which was not particularly noticed. In 1981, the second album "In a noisy booth" was released, which brought Tokarev fame among Russian-speaking emigrants. In the 1980s, he worked at the Russian restaurant Sadko, and then at the restaurants Primorsky and Odessa, accompanied by Irina Ola. He was called the "honorary Jew of Brighton." Willy founded his own label, One Man Band, and recorded about twenty albums there.
In 1989, Willy Tokarev flew to the USSR with concerts. A major role in the organization of these tours was played by the famous entrepreneur Viktor Shulman, who himself also performed "Odessa songs" from the repertoire of Leningrad "tape recorder" bards, Boris Sichkin and other veterans of the genre. 70 concerts throughout the Soviet Union were a success.

PAUL KOSSOFF WITH BLACK CAT BONES- PAUL'S BLUES (3LP'S) -1968-FIRST PRESS 2008 UK-SUNBEAM-SBR3LP5058. Kossoff's first real band was The Black Cat Bones. She was a blues-rock band from the late 60s, which alsofuture Freelance drummer Simon Kirk participated (while this album also includes the likes of Derek and Stuart Brooks from Leaf Hound, along with Paul Rogers). The Bones were well known at concert venuesand they performed as a house band for many bands coming to the USA, and also supported Fleetwood Mac and Peter Green. This 3-disc set features Kossoff's earliest known works, including rehearsals with The Bones in London in 1967. Both the content and the sound quality are such that only fans can be interested, but those same fans will enjoy listening to Kossoff's fiery jams when he was at the peak of his career. ...more

The album is notable for its technical excellence in terms of the balance between the band, the singer and the audience, as well as the fact that it documents Ray Charles' jazzy R and B sound before he achieved great success. Cerrone IV - The Golden Touch is the fourth studio album by French disco musician and producer Jean-Marc Cerrone, released in 1978 on Malligator (773,807) in France, on Atlantic branch Cotillion (SD 5208) in the USA, on CBS - in European countries. Having gained the huge popularity of his previous album, Supernatural - Cerrone III (1977), Cerrone decided to consolidate his success by signing important contracts. First of all, he signed an agreement with the Machat brothers: producer Steven Machat and show business lawyer Martin Machat. They became Cerron's managers in order to promote it internationally. Steven Machat signed Cerron to Atlantic Records in the USA and Canada, and to CBS everywhere except the USA, Canada and France. In France, he was given the right to publish on his own Malligator label. While waiting for the fourth album, Cerrone's fans were wondering where it would turn. Will this project be as conceptual and ambitious as the previous Supernatural, or will Cerrone return to the lingering, pleasant to forget and party style of the first albums Love in C Minor (1976) and Cerrone's Paradise (1977)? Making something amazing again after Supernature was, of course, not an easy task. Cerrone didn't repeat himself, but he made the fourth album no worse than the third. Cerrone IV: The Golden Touch was met with rave reviews in the United States, and Atlantic threw a huge party in New York in October 1978, one of the largest parties ever held for artists at that time.
