ROLLING STONES-VOODOO LOUNGE-1994-FIRST PRESS UK-VIRGIN- V2750 Voodoo Lounge is the twentieth studio album by the English rock band The Rolling Stones, released on July 11, 1994. This album was the band's first release as part of their new collaboration with Virgin Records and their first studio album in five years, since the release of Steel Wheels in 1989. Voodoo Lounge is also the band's first album without original bassist Bill Wyman, who left the band in early 1991, although The Rolling Stones announced his departure only two years later, in 1993.  Voodoo Lounge sold well, reaching gold or platinum status in several countries, but failed to chart in the US top 40. The songs "Love Is Strong" and "You Got Me Rocking" reached #14 and #23 in the UK, respectively, and "You Got Me Rocking" became a major hit on most of the Stones' subsequent tours. Released on August 12, 1991 by Elektra Records, it is commonly referred to as the Black Album due to its packaging design. His recording took place in a one-on-one studio in Los Angeles for eight months, during which Metallica often clashed with its new producer Bob Rock. The album marked a change in the band's music from the thrash metal style of their previous four albums to a slower, heavier and more refined sound. Metallica performed Metallica in full during the 2012 Black Albums European Tour. In 2020, the album was ranked 235th in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest Albums of all time. In December 2019, Metallica became the fourth release in American history to reach the 550-week milestone on the Billboard 200 chart. LIVIN' BLUES-BAMBOOZLE-1972-THE FIRST PRESS OF HOLLAND-PHILIPS-6413 024, A very rare original of the iconic blues album by the Dutch band. Livin' Blues — Bamboozle (1972) The third studio album by the Dutch band Livin’ Blues, released in 1972 on the Philips label. Almost all the songs were written by Oberg and Christiansen, with the exception of the beautifully played ”Overture" Andrew Lloyd Webber and a cover of the song “Black Night” by American musician J.M. Robinson. The musicians relied on the next hit “L.B. Boogie", which set the mood for the whole album. But it turned out to be lively and bright – eight compositions from boogie rock to rhythm and blues. There was also a place for light sadness in it – Ted Oberg's instrumental composition “Sunrise”. In 1971, Dick Beckman was forced to leave the band, he was replaced by Johnny Le Jeune (ex-Island), a man who had been playing drums since the age of 5, a member of several Dutch bands. With him, the band recorded their third album with the strange name Bamboozle. The new drummer didn't last long for this album, then he joined the Schick Band. Tours began in Europe, where the arranged track "Overture" by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice (from Jesus Christ Superstar) was a great success.   ...more

The Last Waltz was advertised as the band's "farewell concert",[2] and the band was joined at the concert by over a dozen special guests, including their previous employers Ronnie Hawkins and Bob Dylan, as well as Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Emmylou Harris, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, The Staple Singers, Ringo Starr, Muddy Waters, Ronnie Wood and Neil Young. The musical director of the concert was the original producer of the band John Simon. The concert was produced and hosted by Bill Graham and directed by Martin Scorsese, who turned it into a documentary film of the same name, released in 1978. "The Last Waltz" is one of the best, if not the best, rock films ever made, which reveals and energizes a classical band at the peak of its popularity." Chicago Tribune film critic Michael Wilmington calls it "the greatest rock concert film ever made, and arguably the best rock film in history."Terry Lawson of the Detroit Free Press comments, "This is one of the greatest films."  Total Film considers it "the greatest concert film ever made." Janet Maslin of the New York Times gave it a negative assessment, saying that it "says so little about the end-of-an-era feeling it hints at... that it is impossible to perceive "The Last Waltz" otherwise than as a passing movie." A very rare British original of a cult album by a psycho folk-blues progressive British band. Fat Mattress is the self—titled debut studio album by the English rock band Fat Mattress, released on August 15, 1969. Fat Mattress was founded in late 1968 by vocalist Neil Landon and guitarist and vocalist Noel Redding, who at that time was playing bass guitar in the popular psychedelic rock band The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Landon and Redding had already written several songs for Landon's cancelled solo project and, having invited bassist Jim Leverton and drummer Eric Dillon, completed the writing and began recording their first material. The self-titled debut album was completed the following year and released in the UK by Polydor Records on August 15, and in the US by Atco Records in October. In support of the album, the band also released their debut single "Magic Forest", which reached number 11 in the Netherlands. Fat Mattress's debut album was a minor commercial success, peaking at number 134 on the US Billboard 200 chart. ...more
