NAZARETH-PLAY 'N' THE GAME-1976-THE FIRST UK-MOUNTAIN-TOPS113 PRESS.A rare British original. Play ’n’ the Game is the eighth studio album by the Scottish band Nazareth, released in 1976.The CD cover states: "This album is entirely dedicated to Bill Fehilly, whose faith and spirit are still with us." Bill Fehilly is the band's manager, who died shortly before in a plane crash. The musicians admitted that without his help, Nazareth would never have crossed the borders of England — let alone other countries. Play ’n’ the Game, like the previous album, went unnoticed in the UK, while the band was very popular in Canada, where Nazareth received about 50 gold and platinum records throughout the 1970s. The second part of the famous Gong trilogy under the general title "Radio Gnome Invisible"."Angel's Egg" is the eclecticism of the band that has risen to a new level. Here Gong realized 100% of their creative aspirations in the field of synthesis of psychedelia and jazz-rock. The album is simply magnificent; each song has a unique sound; perfect instrumental harmony is noticeable with a complete unhealthiness of creative ideas. I can't even say which of the three albums "Radio Gnome Invisible" is better (but it's definitely not Vol.1) All music rated the album 4 stars.  ...more

"Over the Hudson" is the third studio album by Soviet, American and Russian author-performer Willy Tokarev, released in 1983 on the Sava Recording Corporation label in the USA. The producer is Willy Tokarev. At the age of 40, in 1974, Willy Tokarev emigrated to the United States with $100 in his pocket. He was sheltered for 2-3 weeks by the Tolstoy Foundation, whose head was Alexandra Tolstaya, daughter of Leo Tolstoy. There he was a courier, a cleaner in a bakery, sorted through the Russian library of a millionaire, a newspaper deliveryman, became unemployed because he did not know English well, so he began to learn the language by reading American newspapers, graduated from a nurse's course, learned to drive a car, passed a taxi driving test and began working as a taxi driver to earn money for recording records, writing songs in his spare time, he was robbed four times (once, on Christmas Day, he was almost killed by a black man). He played at Carnegie Hall on a balalaika, which he bought at a souvenir shop on Fifth Avenue for $ 50, then played and sang in restaurants and nightclubs.  In 1979, the first record "And life is always beautiful!" was released, which was not particularly noticed. In 1981, the second album "In a noisy booth" was released, which brought Tokarev fame among Russian-speaking emigrants. A rare British original by a famous blues band. Burnin' Sky is the fourth studio album by English rock band Bad Company. It was released on March 3, 1977. Burnin' Sky was recorded in France at the Château d'Hérouville in July and August 1976 with future Rolling Stones sound engineer Chris Kimsey. Its release was delayed until March 1977 in order not to compete with the band's current album Run with the Pack. The album reached number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart and number 17 on the UK Albums Chart. ...more
