Rare British early edition of the cult album.  Can't Buy a Thrill is the debut studio album by American rock band Steely Dan, released in November 1972 on ABC Records. It was written by band members Walter Becker and Donald Feigen and recorded in August 1972 at The Village Recorder in Los Angeles with producer Gary Katz. This album is one of the most stylistically eclectic in Steely Dan's work, combining the sounds of soft rock, pop rock and jazz rock, as well as philosophical, mysterious lyrics. The commercially successful album Can't Buy a Thrill reached 17th place on the US Billboard Top LPs chart.  Tape, which was promoted by the popular singles Do It Again and Reelin' In the Years, and eventually received a platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). This is one of the innovative albums in the style of jazz fusion. The name is a translation of the Latin phrase morituri te salutant, which, according to popular belief (but not academic agreement), gladiators addressed to the emperor before the start of a gladiatorial duel. The original vinyl album had the name "Colosseum" on the record label and on the spine of the cover, but the album is better known as "Those Who are About to Die Greet You". The album reached number 15 on the UK Albums Chart. ...more

CAN- TAGO MAGO (2LP'S)-1971-FIRST UK PRESS-UNITED ARTISTS-UAD60009/10.Matrices A-1/B-1/C-1/D-1 is a very rare British original of the cult album.  Tago Mago is the second studio album by the German krautrock band Can, originally released as a double LP in August 1971 on the United Artists Records label. It was the band's first full-length studio album featuring vocalist Damo Suzuki after Malcolm Mooney's departure a year earlier, although Suzuki participated in recording most of the tracks on the 1970 compilation album Soundtracks. It was recorded at Can Studio [de] in Schloss Nörvenich, a medieval castle near Cologne. Tago Mago includes long experimental tracks that combine rock and jazz improvisation, funk rhythms and specific music using editing techniques.  The album was named Kahn's best and most extreme album in terms of sound and structure.  The album received widespread critical acclaim and influenced many artists.
