A rare English original . Worldwide 50 Gold Award Hits Vol. 1 is a compilation album by American singer and musician Elvis Presley. This four-lp compilation was released in August 1970 and became his 38th album. The compilation reached number 45 on the Billboard 200 chart and number 25 on the country chart. The album received gold status on February 13, 1973, platinum status on March 27, 1992, and double platinum status from the American Recording Industry Association on June 17, 1992. Of the 51 tracks featured, four are being played for the first time in this collection: "Viva Las Vegas", "Suspicious Minds", "Don't Cry Daddy" and "Kentucky Rain". The album's title is inspired by Jean Paul Sartre's novel Nausea, as Sartre wanted to call it Melancholia. "Melancholia" becomes an extremely successful album. The song "Souvenir", this time dedicated to the French capital, although it takes only 10th place in Sanremo, but again receives the "Critics Award", reaches 8th place in the national charts. The song "I Feel You" ("Ti sento"), reached number 1 in Italian and Belgian, number 2 in Dutch and number 11 in German charts in 1986, and became a worldwide hit, including in English-speaking countries, recorded in English ("I Feel You"). The English version of Ti sento is I Feel You, a single that was also released successfully in Italy.
