Lot 93GILLA-I LIKE SOME COOL ROCK'N'ROLL-1980-FIRST PRESS GERMANY EXPORT -HANSA-NMINT/NMINT

GILLA-I LIKE SOME COOL ROCK'n'ROLL 1980-FIRST GERMANY EXPORT  PRESS-HANSA - 201406-320. Very rare original one of the best albums in the disco style. Gill and Roelofs 1980 record a new album, preceded by its release of the single We Gotta Get Out Of This Place. The album was called I Like Some Cool Rock'n'roll, and it was produced by himself, Roelofs, and Farian remained in the project as a viewer and a producer, for which, however, had the final word. The album was attended by interesting disco song Go Down Main Street, Tom Cat, as well as a few songs Roelofs, co-written by Fred Jay, including a beautiful lyrical Take Your Time. What prevented this album to be a bestseller, unknown, but, apparently, the role played by the fact that in 1980 disco began to experience hard times. Nevertheless, the album became fairly common in Europe (especially Eastern) and South-East Asia, where Euro-disco was very popular.

Vinyl in top condition - NMINT/ARCHIVE. The Matt cover is in top condition - NMINT/ARCHIVE. Record labels ' new - NMINT/ARCHIVE.

Lot 51.DEEP PURPLE-SHADES OF DEEP PURPLE-1968-FIRST PRESS USA-TETRAGRAMMATON-NMINT/NMINT

DEEP PURPLE-SHADES OF DEEP PURPLE-1968-FIRST PRESS USA-TETRAGRAMMATON- T-102, Shades of Deep Purple is the debut album by the English rock band Deep Purple, released in July 1968 on the Tetragrammaton label in the USA and in September 1968 on the Parlophone label in the UK. The band, originally called Roundabout, was the idea of former Seahawks drummer Chris Curtis, who invited Jon Lord and Richie Blackmore to join the band before leaving the project. In March 1968, the band was joined by vocalist and frontman Rod Evans, as well as bassist Nick Simper and drummer Ian Pace. After two months of rehearsals, Shades of Deep Purple was recorded in just three days in May 1968. It contains four original songs and four cover versions, carefully arranged with classical interludes added to make the sound more psychedelic. Stylistically, the music is close to psychedelic rock and progressive rock, two genres whose audience was constantly growing in the late 1960s. The album was not widely recognized in the UK, where very few copies were sold and it did not chart. On the other hand, he was a success in the US, and the single "Hush", an energetic rock track written by Joe South and originally recorded by Billy Joe Royal, became very popular at the time and reached number 4 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. ...more

A rare Italian original by a cult rock-pop band. The ninth album by the Italian band. The first album with the new keyboardist Sergio Cossu. The song "Souvenir", this time dedicated to the French capital, although it takes only 10th place in Sanremo, but again receives the "Critics Award", reaches 8th place in the national charts. The song "I Feel You" ("Ti sento"), reached number 1 in Italian and Belgian, number 2 in Dutch and number 11 in German charts in 1986, and became a worldwide hit, including in English-speaking countries, recorded in English ("I Feel You"). The English version of Ti sento is I Feel You, a single that was also released successfully in Italy. Thanks to the new electronic sound, Ti sento became a classic of the band and one of the most famous songs of the 80s. In 1985, the band made a long tour of Japan, France, Germany, other European and Latin American countries, and also visited the USSR for the first time. ...more
