Although the album was recorded exclusively by Rogers, it featured many guest musicians, including Jeff Beck, Jason Bonham, David Gilmour, Buddy Guy, Brian May, Steve Miller, Gary Moore, Trevor Rabin, Richie Sambora, Neil Shawn, Brian Setzer and Slash. The idea of Freddie Mercury involving a symphony orchestra was not realized due to lack of time, and as a result, the album was partially arranged with synthesizers and a drum machine. The song "Barcelona", which gave the album its name, became the anthem of the city hosting the 1992 Summer Olympics in Spain. ...more
