The album was released in the UK on May 14, 1971, and in the USA the following day. The compilation was originally released by Starline and later re-released by Music for Pleasure in the UK, while Harvest and Capitol distributed the album in the US. An updated version of the CD was released in 1996 with a different cover featuring a three-dimensional model based on a sketch drawn by drummer Nick Mason for the original release of the album.
