The Australian version of the CD was released in March 1977 on the Albert Productions label, and the international version was released in June 1977 on the Atlantic Records label. The Australian release of the album was coolly received by critics and barely entered the Australian Top 20, in the UK -17 place. The album reached the highest level of sales in the United States and was awarded double platinum status by the RIAA for a circulation of more than 2 million copies, in December 1997.
