He is best known as the keyboardist of the band "Rainbow". After "Rainbow" he performed as a solo artist and session musician. In 1983, the album Planet P was released and the songs "A fine, fine day", "First day of summer" and "Why me?" hit the chats on both sides of the Atlantic. After that, Carey found international success, both solo and in Planet P.

Pendulum is the sixth studio album by American band Creedence Clearwater Revival, recorded at Wally Hyder's studio in San Francisco and released by the Fantasy label in December 1970. Pendulum is the last CCR album to feature rhythm guitarist Tom Fogerty, who left the band shortly after the album's release. The record demonstrates the group's desire to expand its own stylistic framework, a number of his compositions are musically noticeably more complex than the CCR recordings of the 1968-1969 sample. The album appeared on several Billboard album charts in 1970, peaking at number 26 on the Pop Albums chart, number seven on the Jazz Albums chart, and number eight on Billboard's "Black Albums" list.
