"The Star and the Death of Joaquin Murieta— is a rock opera by Alexey Rybnikov and Pavel Grushko. One of the first rock operas in the USSR, created on the initiative of director Mark Zakharov based on the dramatic cantata by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda "The Shining and Death of Joaquin Murieta, a Chilean robber killed in California on July 23, 1853."
The play was performed on the stage of the Lenkom Theater for 17 seasons and was shown 1050 times. In 1978, the first record "The Star and the Death of Joaquin Murieta" was released — the main parts were performed by: The Star, Teresa - Jeanne Rozhdestvenskaya; Joaquin Murieta, Death - Gennady Trofimov. The Araks ensemble took part in the recording of the disc.

Perfect Strangers is the eleventh studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple and the first recorded by the reunited "classic line—up" of the band, released in November 1984. At the beginning of October, Perfect Strangers was mixed, and on November 16 it went on sale, rising to 5th place in Britain and 17th in the USA. Blackmore, known for his clumsiness, joked that the album should finally be called the 1974 album, hinting that the last album recorded in this line-up was released back in 1973 (Who Do We Think We Are).
