ALEXEY RYBNIKOV-ROCK OPERA STAR AND THE DEATH OF JOAQUIN MURIETA-1978-(EXPORT) FIRST PRESS RUSSIA-MELODIA-C6011191-004. "The Star and the Death of Joaquin Murieta— is a rock opera by Alexey Rybnikov and Pavel Grushko. One of the first rock operas in the USSR, created on the initiative of director Mark Zakharov based on the dramatic cantata by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda "The Shining and Death of Joaquin Murieta, a Chilean robber killed in California on July 23, 1853."

The play was performed on the stage of the Lenkom Theater for 17 seasons and was shown 1050 times.  In 1978, the first record "The Star and the Death of Joaquin Murieta" was released — the main parts were performed by: The Star, Teresa - Jeanne Rozhdestvenskaya; Joaquin Murieta, Death - Gennady Trofimov. The Araks ensemble took part in the recording of the disc.

It was released in the USA in December 1969, and in the UK in January 1970. By the time the second line-up of Deep Purple was formed, there was a confrontation in the band between the art-rock ambitions of John Lord and the hard-rock ambitions of Richie Blackmore. Lord considered the possibility of creating a work that would combine the features of classical and rock music. Deep Purple manager Tony Edwards decides to go all-in and reserves the Albert Hall for September 24, leaving John Lord about six months to write the score. SAVOY BROWN-LOOKING IN-1970-THE FIRST UK-DECCA-SKL5066 Matrix A-1W/B-1W PRESS. A rare British original of the cult blues-rock band. Looking In is the sixth album by British blues band Savoy Brown. The album featured "Lonesome" Dave Peverett on vocals after Chris Yulden left the band last spring. Leader/guitarist Kim Simmonds will be the only band member to continue working with the band after this album, as all the other band members left to form Foghat next year. It was released by Decca in 1970 (SKL 5066). For release in the USA and Canada, the cassettes were leased to Parrot Records (PAS 71042). The album spent a week in the official UK charts and reached number 50.
