BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST-EYES OF THE UNIVERSE-1979-FIRST PRESS UK-POLYDOR-POLD5029.A rare British original of the cult prog band. Eyes Of The Universe is the tenth studio album by the British band Barclay James Harvest, released on November 5, 1979.  After recording the album "XII" in 1978, the band lost the "branded" mellotrons of Stuart "Woolley" Woolstenholm. Feeling close within the Barclay James Harvest group, Woolley seriously engaged in a solo career. The remaining trio of musicians decided to continue the existence of their collective, making up for the loss mainly due to session musicians. The band's sound has noticeably improved and become more pop, but it has remained "afloat". And that was the main thing. One could not even dream of fame in America, but in Europe the records continued to be sold "briskly". ...more

QUEEN-A DAY AT THE RACES-1975-FIRST PRESS UK-EMI number EMTC104 Matrix A-4U/B-4U.A rare British original. A Day at the Races is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on December 10, 1976 in the UK and December 18, 1976 in the USA.The title of the album — "A Day at the Races" — as well as the previous one, is taken from the repertoire of American comedians of the 1930s by the Marx brothers. A Day at the Races immediately came under fire from critics. Queen was accused of an unsuccessful attempt to repeat A Night At The Opera. The album turned out to be really very similar to the previous one, but this was never hidden by the musicians. May said that both records were being prepared at the same time, but one was recorded earlier and the other later. ...more

ATLANTIS-SAME-1972-FIRST PRESS GERMANY-VERTIGO-6360609. A rare original continuation of the cult prog group FRUMPY. Atlantis was formed at the end of the summer of 1972 by Inga Rumpf (vocals), Jean-Jacques Kravets (keyboards) and Karl-Heinz Schott (bass). These musicians previously played in the band Frumpy. The founding members also included guitarist Frank Dees and drummer Kurt Kress (formerly of the band Emergency). After several live performances in Germany, the first LP was released at Island Records Studio in London, which was widely recognized, especially in the United States, where Rumpf's bluesy vocals were appreciated. Diz and Kress left the band after recording. For a four-week tour of England with Procol Harum and Traffic, George Meyer joined Atlantis as guitarist and Udo Lindenberg joined Atlantis as drummer. After the tour, they were replaced by Dieter Bornschlegel (who had previously worked with the band Dreamtorte) and Ringo Funk (who had previously worked with Geronimo), with whom the second album It's Getting Better (1973) was recorded. ...more
