The band originally consisted of married couple Denis and Denise Lepage, who had a number one dance hit in the US in 1981 with the song "Your Love". Lime released their debut album Your Love in 1981. The title track became a gold record and a No. 1 hit on the Billboard disco chart in the United States. In 1982, Lime Lime II's second album was released with the support of the single "Babe We're Gonna Love Tonight", which reached No. 6 on the Billboard dance chart.

It was released on October 16, 1981 on RCA Records. The album was co-produced with Krautrock producer Connie Planck in his studio in Cologne, and features numerous guest musicians, including Blondie drummer Clem Burke, Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft drummer Robert Gerl and the duo Can Holger Chukay and Jaki Liebezeit (Jaki Liebezeit), informs .
