Whatever Happened to Benny Santini? is the debut album by Chris Rea, released in 1978. The album's first single, "Fool (If You Think It's Over)", is justifiably considered Chris' most famous song and remains his best hit in the US, reaching number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and number 1 on the Adult Contemporary Singles charts. This success was also facilitated by the extensive broadcasting on Radio Caroline, as it was dedicated to the British Home Office, which tried to stop broadcasting the radio station. Feeling close within the Barclay James Harvest group, Woolley seriously engaged in a solo career. The remaining trio of musicians decided to continue the existence of their collective, making up for the loss mainly due to session musicians. The band's sound has noticeably improved and become more pop, but it has remained "afloat". And that was the main thing.
