Procol's Ninth Rare British original is the eighth studio album (ninth, including live) Procol Harum, released in August 1975. Produced by songwriters Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, Procol's Ninth album was slightly different from the previous album, with a much brighter sound than Chris Thomas' more elaborate works. According to an interview with guitarist Mick Grabham, taken by Roland Clare for the 2009 reissue, Leiber and Stoller paid less attention to the producer sound, and more to the "structure of the songs". It was recorded at Mountain Studios in Montreux, Switzerland, and at the Power Station in New York City from September to November 1986. The album was produced by Bowie together with David Richards, and also with the participation of Peter Frampton on guitar. Musically, Never Let Me Down was characterized as pop rock, art rock and hard rock; Bowie himself considered this album a return to rock and roll. The cover depicts Bowie surrounded by numerous elements from the songs. Never Let Me Down was a commercial success, peaking at number 6 in the UK. The album was certified platinum in Brazil, and gold in the United Kingdom, Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland. The album was recorded in 1987 and released on May 3, 1988. In 1987, the single "The Living Daylights" was released, which became the theme to the film "Sparks from the Eyes" about James Bond and was later included in the album. Of the singles, the most popular was "Stay on These Roads", which reached number one on the Norwegian chart, and performed well in other European countries. Less popular was the single "Touchy!" and even less popular were "The Blood That Moves The Body" and "You Are The One". The latest single There's Never A Forever Thing didn't make it to any of the national charts at all. In 1992, a remix of the single "The Blood That Moves The Body"was released.
