BARCLAY JAMES HARVEST-EYES OF THE UNIVERSE-1979-FIRST PRESS UK-POLYDOR-POLD5029.A rare British original of the cult prog band. Eyes Of The Universe is the tenth studio album by the British band Barclay James Harvest, released on November 5, 1979.  After recording the album "XII" in 1978, the band lost the "branded" mellotrons of Stuart "Woolley" Woolstenholm. Feeling close within the Barclay James Harvest group, Woolley seriously engaged in a solo career. The remaining trio of musicians decided to continue the existence of their collective, making up for the loss mainly due to session musicians. The band's sound has noticeably improved and become more pop, but it has remained "afloat". And that was the main thing. A Day at the Races immediately came under fire from critics. Queen was accused of an unsuccessful attempt to repeat A Night At The Opera. The album turned out to be really very similar to the previous one, but this was never hidden by the musicians. Procol's Ninth Rare British original is the eighth studio album (ninth, including live) Procol Harum, released in August 1975. Produced by songwriters Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, Procol's Ninth album was slightly different from the previous album, with a much brighter sound than Chris Thomas' more elaborate works. According to an interview with guitarist Mick Grabham, taken by Roland Clare for the 2009 reissue, Leiber and Stoller paid less attention to the producer sound, and more to the "structure of the songs". The band appeared on the album cover in a simple, unassuming photograph reflecting the sound of the album itself. The signatures of each band member were reproduced on the cover. ...more

BONEY M-EVE DANCE-1985-First Press GERMANY - HANSA 42448-1. A rare original of the cult album.  Eye Dance is the eighth and final studio album by the vocal group Boney M., released in 1985. The cover was a symbol of the state the band was in at the time, as neither the famous "Boney M." logo nor the band members appeared on the cover, but were replaced by an anonymous drawing. The Dance with Eyes was recorded with several session singers. Original band members Liz Mitchell and Marcia Barrett only appeared on a few tracks, focusing on Reggie Cibo. The singles "My Cherie Amour" and "Young Free and Single" were released by Boney M. as a quintet, in which former band member Bobby Farrell returned; both these singles and the album suffered a resounding failure, both critically and commercially, and in early 1986, the band and producer Frank Farian parted ways after a special television release "10 years of Boney M.", dedicated to the anniversary. ...more
