WARHORSE-WARHORSE-1970-THE FIRST UK PRESS-VERTIGO SWIRL-6360015. A mega rare original of the first album by the iconic British prog band.  Warhorse is a band formed by ex-Deep Purple bassist Nick Simper. The band existed from 1970 to 1974 (partial reunions in 1985, 2005). The band's sound was close to the style of the early Deep Purple.  After his forced departure from Deep Purple, Nick Simper started organizing a new band. Initially, he planned to involve well-known musicians Albert Lee and Mick Underwood in the collaboration, but this alliance did not take place. The new band was based on guitarist Jed Pack and drummer Mac Poole, musicians who played with Simper in the accompanying Marsha Hunt line—up. The new band also includes vocalist Ashley Holt and keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The band received the name "Iron Horse", which was soon changed to "Warhorse". Wakeman proved to be an unreliable partner and left the band in April, before the band had even made any recordings. Instead, keyboardist Frank Wilson was recruited into the band, with whom the debut demo "Miss Jane" was made. In 1970, the band signed a contract with Phonograms, a division of Vertigo Records, and began recording their debut album. The Warhorse album was released in November 1970. The song "St. Louis" (a cover of "Easybeats") was released as a single and was most popular with the public. HENDRIX, JIMI-LIVE AT BERKELEY (2LP'S+BOOK) -1970-FIRST PRESS 2003 (LIMITED EDITION) UK/EU - MCA-B0001159-01. A very rare limited edition and numbered British original. Live at Berkeley is a live album by American rock musician Jimi Hendrix. It documents his second performance at the Berkeley Public Theater on May 30, 1970, and was released by MCA Records on September 16, 2003. Hendrix performed in Berkeley about a month after his The Cry of Love tour with bassist Billy Cox and drummer Mitch Mitchell. The setlist was pretty typical for the tour - a mix of popular tunes and some new material. "Hey Joe", "Foxey Lady", "Purple Haze" and "Voodoo Child (Slight Return)" have been in Hendrix's concert repertoire since he first recorded them."Machine Gun" was released two months earlier on the live Band of Gypsys album, and "Hey Baby (New Rising Sun)" was in development for his planned fourth studio album. Savoir fair is the tenth studio album by the Italian pop star. The first success came in 1975, the song "You are beautiful" ("Sei bellissima"), stayed in the Italian charts for 14 weeks, then entered the album "Normal or super" ("Normale o super", 1976) — the first, produced by Mario Lavezzi, as well as the first song of one of the largest Italian composers Ivan Fossati. His song "Dedicated" ("Dedicato"), performed in 1978 by Berthe, and again censored, this time politically, was repeatedly played on Italian TV. The 1979 album "Banda Berte" ("BandaBertè"), including the song "And the moon knocked ..." ("... E la luna bussò", in the rhythm of reggae), again reached high places in the Italian charts. For this album, Berthe again receives the "Vota la voce" award as the best performer. In 1981, Loredana spent several months in the United States recording the album "Made in Italy", in New York she met with E.By Warhol. In 1982, Berte won the "Festival Bar" with the song "I am not that signora" ("Non sono una signora", which rose to 5th place in the weekly and to 32 in the annual Italian hit parade, included in one of her most successful albums "Crossings" ("Traslocando", 7 and 38 places, respectively.. The ambitious 1985 album Carioca is dedicated to the work of Brazilian musician Javan, the lyrics are written by Bruno Lauci and Enrico Rudgeri. On March 1, 1984[4] Berte came to the USSR for the first time, together with Italian television, Soviet television made a musical film "Autograph" (1984), which included recordings made on the streets of Moscow, at the circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, in Zelenograd and Tallinn. ...more
