BLIND FAITH-BLIND FAITH-1969-SECOND PRESS UK-POLYDOR-583059. Matrices A-1/B-1. A very rare second press of a cult album in top condition. Blind Faith is the only album by the British rock band of the same name, it was released in August 1969 and immediately topped the charts in the United States and Great Britain. The recording took place in London, first at Morgan Studios, and then at Olympic Studios, under the direction of producer Jimmy Miller. All tracks on this album belong to the band members, except for a cover version of "Well All Right" from Buddy Holly's repertoire. The album received positive reviews from critics, was a great commercial success and immediately topped the charts on both sides of the Atlantic. The cover of the album published in the UK shows a young topless girl (the younger sister of photographer Bob Seideman, the creator of the cover) holding a model airplane in her hands. In the USA, this picture was considered not quite decent, and the album was also released with an alternative cover, which featured a photo of the band members. Released in the United States on March 30, 1966 by Reprise Records, it became The Kinks' first American album with the same track list as its British counterpart. This is a transitional album containing elements of both earlier Kinks styles (songs with strong blues influences such as "Milk Cow Blues" and variations on the themes of the band's hits from 1964 to 1965 based on power chords such as "Until the End of the Day") and early indications of the future direction of Ray Davis' songwriting styles ("The World Keeps Going Round" and "I'm on an Island"). The title notes were written by Michael Aldred. High Time is the second studio album by American rock band MC5, released in 1971 by Atlantic Records. Unfortunately, the 1971 album High Time was the last for MC5. Heavy drugs entered the lives of the band members, and within a year they broke up, moving to other groups. At least two of the participants ended up in federal prison on drug trafficking charges, and they were never reunited until Rob Tyner's untimely death in mid-summer 1992.Although the band's debut album Kick Out the Jams peaked at number 30 on the Billboard 200 chart, their second album stalled at number 137, and High Time proved to be even less commercially successful. ...more
