QUEEN-A DAY AT THE RACES-1976-ORIGINAL PRESS 1981 UK-EMI number EMTC104 Matrix A-6/B-6U.A rare British edition of the iconic album. A Day at the Races is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on December 10, 1976 in the United Kingdom and December 18, 1976 in the United States. The album's title, "A Day at the Races," is taken from the repertoire of the American comedians of the 1930s, the Marx brothers. A Day at the Races immediately came under fire from critics. Queen was accused of unsuccessfully trying to repeat A Night At The Opera. The album turned out to be really very similar to the previous one, but it was never hidden by the musicians. May said that both records were being prepared at the same time, but one was recorded earlier and the other later.

Lot 65.BLACK SABBATH-TECHNICAL ECSTASY -1978- FIRST PRESS UK-VERTIGO-NMINT/NMINT

BLACK SABBATH-TECHNICAL ECSTASY -1978- FIRST PRESS UK-VERTIGO-9102750. A rare original of the cult album . "Technical Ecstasy" is the seventh studio album by the British rock band Black Sabbath, released in 1976. Musically, the CD is a further development of the musical ideas of the guitarist and main composer of the band Tony Iommi. Just like on the last two albums, on Technical Ecstasy, simple and short songs such as "Rock 'N' Roll Doctor" contrast with longer and more complex songs such as "You Won't Change Me" and "Dirty Women". The source material was somewhat spoiled by unimportant production [the source is not specified for 102 days, and therefore could not repeat the commercial success of its predecessor, the album Sabotage (1975). Nevertheless, partly thanks to the beautiful songs, and partly thanks to the big name "Black Sabbath", this album sold steadily and eventually received its "platinum" in the UK and "gold" in the USA. Technical Ecstasy reached number 13 in the UK charts and number 51 in the US Billboard magazine charts ...more

Lot 53.DEEP PURPLE-IN ROCK-1970-ORIGINAL PRESS 1974 JAPAN-WARNER.-NMINT/NMINT

DEEP PURPLE-IN ROCK-1970-ORIGINAL PRESS 1974 JAPAN-WARNER.-P-8020W. A rare Japanese edition of the iconic album. Deep Purple in Rock is the fourth studio album by the British rock band Deep Purple, released on June 5, 1970 on Harvest Records. This is the first studio album recorded with the classic band line-up called "Mark II" (a little earlier, this line-up recorded the live album Concerto for Group and Orchestra). Since this album, the band's style has changed dramatically. Deep Purple started playing hard rock almost simultaneously with such bands as Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, and are considered one of the founders and classics of this genre. According to the music critic, "the record became the epicenter of destruction, a fresh stream in the rock of the 1970s and a turn in history, in which the roots of the heavy metal style were laid." Deep Purple in Rock became the band's breakthrough album in Europe and reached number four on the UK national charts, remaining on the charts for over a year. His accompanying single "Black Night" reached the 2nd line. Included in various lists of the best albums, including Classic Rock magazine's list of the "100 Greatest British Albums of All Time" and Q magazine's list of the "50 Best Albums of the 70s." In 2015, the American website Ultimate Classic Rock ranked the album at the top of its ranking of Deep Purple's best works. Certified as a gold disc in the UK, USA, France, the Netherlands and Argentina. ...more
