The single reached number 19 on the US Hot 100 chart and number 2 on the Easy Listening chart. It reached number 3 in the UK and number 2 in Australia. Three years later, the song "A World of Our Own" was recorded by Sonny James. A rare Japanese original of a cult album.The Blue Ridge Rangers is the first solo studio album by John Fogerty, former vocalist and guitarist of Creedence Clearwater Revival. When originally released on Fantasy Records in 1973, the album was credited to The Blue Ridge Rangers without mentioning Fogerty on the cover. Fogerty decided to do so in order to distance himself from his Creedence legacy. The album consists entirely of traditional and country covers, and Fogerty plays all the instruments. The album reached 47th place in the charts. Two singles from the album became hits: "Jambalaya", which reached number 16 in the United States and 15 in Canada, and "Hearts of Stone", which reached number 37 in the United States and 35 in Canada.
