A rare Swedish second press of the iconic album, after which ABBA became famous all over the world. Waterloo is the second studio album by Swedish pop band ABBA, the first to be released internationally. It was originally released on March 4, 1974 in Sweden on the Polar Music label. The album's title track won ABBA the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 and became a worldwide hit, launching the band's career. "Waterloo" won the Swedish qualifying round, and the band represented Sweden in Brighton at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974. ABBA won the competition, and "Waterloo" became a hit not only in Europe, but also around the world (for example, taking 6th place in the USA). The album has already been released in Sweden and topped the Swedish charts for 12 weeks, becoming one of the best-selling Swedish albums at that time. Station to Station is the tenth studio album by English musician David Bowie, released on January 23, 1976 on the RCA Records label. The album, considered one of his most significant works, became the embodiment of Bowie's "Thin White Duke" stage persona. The Station to Station album, produced by Bowie and Harry Maslin, was primarily recorded at Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles, California, in late 1975, after Bowie had completed filming on The Man Who Fell to Earth. The cover was designed based on a shot from the movie. During the recording, Bowie suffered from various addictions, primarily cocaine, and later said that he remembered almost nothing about the recording process. "From Station to Station" was often included in the lists of the greatest albums of all time according to various publications. In 1995, it was ranked 21st on Mojo magazine's list of the 100 Greatest Albums Ever Made, making it Bowie's highest-rated album on the list. In 2003, Rolling Stone ranked it 323rd on its list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time, 324th on its revised 2012 list, and 52nd on its revised 2020 list. In 2004, The Observer ranked the album at number 80 on its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums. Vibe magazine included the album in its list of the 100 most important albums of the 20th century. Released on August 12, 1991 by Elektra Records, it is commonly referred to as the Black Album due to its packaging design. His recording took place in a one-on-one studio in Los Angeles for eight months, during which Metallica often clashed with its new producer Bob Rock. The album marked a change in the band's music from the thrash metal style of their previous four albums to a slower, heavier and more refined sound. Metallica performed Metallica in full during the 2012 Black Albums European Tour. In 2020, the album was ranked 235th in Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest Albums of all time. In December 2019, Metallica became the fourth release in American history to reach the 550-week milestone on the Billboard 200 chart. LIVIN' BLUES-BAMBOOZLE-1972-THE FIRST PRESS OF HOLLAND-PHILIPS-6413 024, A very rare original of the iconic blues album by the Dutch band. Livin' Blues — Bamboozle (1972) The third studio album by the Dutch band Livin’ Blues, released in 1972 on the Philips label. Almost all the songs were written by Oberg and Christiansen, with the exception of the beautifully played ”Overture" Andrew Lloyd Webber and a cover of the song “Black Night” by American musician J.M. Robinson. The musicians relied on the next hit “L.B. Boogie", which set the mood for the whole album. But it turned out to be lively and bright – eight compositions from boogie rock to rhythm and blues. There was also a place for light sadness in it – Ted Oberg's instrumental composition “Sunrise”. In 1971, Dick Beckman was forced to leave the band, he was replaced by Johnny Le Jeune (ex-Island), a man who had been playing drums since the age of 5, a member of several Dutch bands. With him, the band recorded their third album with the strange name Bamboozle. The new drummer didn't last long for this album, then he joined the Schick Band. Tours began in Europe, where the arranged track "Overture" by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice (from Jesus Christ Superstar) was a great success.   ...more
