ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER- CATS (2LP'S)-1981-THE FIRST UK PRESS-POLYDOR-CATX001. A very rare British original of a cult rock opera. "Cats" is a musical musical with music by Andrew Lloyd Webber. It is based on T. S. Eliot's 1939 collection of poems, The Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats. The musical tells the story of a tribe of cats called the Jellykles and the night they make the "Jellykles choice", deciding which cat will rise to the Heaviside layer and return to a new life. As of 2024, "Cats" remains the fifth longest-running Broadway show and the eighth longest-running show in the West End. Lloyd Webber began writing music based on Eliot's poems in 1977, and in 1980 these compositions were first presented as a song cycle. Then producer Cameron Mackintosh invited director Trevor Nunn and choreographer Gillian Lynn to turn the songs into a full-fledged musical. "Cats" received positive reviews at the New London Theatre in the West End in 1981, followed by mixed reviews at the Winter Garden Theatre on Broadway in 1982. They have won numerous awards, including the Laurence Olivier and Tony Awards for Best Musical. Despite the unusual idea, which initially scared off investors, the musical was an unprecedented commercial success: by 2012, its box office worldwide totaled 3.5 billion US dollars.

DYLAN, BOB-BRINGING IT ALL BACK HOME- 1965 -SECOND PRESS UK-CBS-SBRG62515. A-2/B-2 matrices. A rare British original in top condition. Bringing It All Back Home is the fifth studio album by American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan, released in April 1965 by Columbia Records.. It was Dylan's first album to use power tools, which caused controversy and divided many in the modern folk scene. The album is divided into two separate parts; the first part of the album uses electric instruments, and on the first side of the original vinyl disc, Dylan is accompanied by an electro-rock and roll band. The second part mainly features acoustic songs. The album omits the protest music from Dylan's previous recordings in favor of more surreal, complex lyrics.. The album reached number 6 on Billboard's Pop Albums chart, becoming Dylan's first album to reach the top 10 in the United States. Later that spring, he also topped the UK charts. The first track, Subterranean Homesick Blues, became Dylan's first single to chart in the United States, peaking at number 39. Bringing It All Back Home has been named one of the greatest albums of all time by many publications. ZUCCHERO-LIVE AT THE KREMLIN (2LP'S)-1991-FIRST PRESS OF ITALY-POLYDOR-511519-1.. A rare original of the Italian romantic blues rock. Zucchero — Live At The Kremlin is the first live album by Italian singer Zucchero Fornaciari, released on November 4, 1991 by Polydor label. After the release of his self-titled album "Oro, Incenso e Beer", he travels to Moscow, culminating in a double concert in the Moscow Kremlin, in the Congress Hall. The second concert on December 9, 1990 was broadcast live worldwide on Rai Due. The concert was recorded and mixed by Maurizio Maggi and released in its entirety without any changes or technical corrections. As he wrote in his autobiography titled "The Sound of Sunday is the Novel of My Life," Zucchero gave a concert while experiencing a severe panic attack. Nevertheless, the performance, the first for a Western artist in the Soviet Union after the fall of the Berlin Wall, was a success. Among the guests on stage were Randy Crawford, who sang a duet with Zucchero "Come Il Sole" in English, and John Lennon, to whom the song "Imagine" was dedicated, dedicated to the famous musician on the tenth anniversary of his death. Then Tony Childs appears, with whom Zucchero performs "Many Rivers To Cross", and Yuri Kasparyan, the guitarist of the legendary Soviet rock band Kino, who took part in the concert with his guitar along with Andrea Braido. Finally, it is worth noting the contribution of singer Lisa Hunt, who accompanied the songs with her soulful vocals and especially stood out in the performance of Madre Dolcissima. During the concert, as was customary according to Soviet custom, there was no applause, but at the end the audience applauded standing for 20 minutes. ...more
