WARHORSE-WARHORSE-1970-THE FIRST UK PRESS-VERTIGO SWIRL-6360015. A mega rare original of the first album by the iconic British prog band.  Warhorse is a band formed by ex-Deep Purple bassist Nick Simper. The band existed from 1970 to 1974 (partial reunions in 1985, 2005). The band's sound was close to the style of the early Deep Purple.  After his forced departure from Deep Purple, Nick Simper started organizing a new band. Initially, he planned to involve well-known musicians Albert Lee and Mick Underwood in the collaboration, but this alliance did not take place. The new band was based on guitarist Jed Pack and drummer Mac Poole, musicians who played with Simper in the accompanying Marsha Hunt line—up. The new band also includes vocalist Ashley Holt and keyboardist Rick Wakeman. The band received the name "Iron Horse", which was soon changed to "Warhorse". Wakeman proved to be an unreliable partner and left the band in April, before the band had even made any recordings. Instead, keyboardist Frank Wilson was recruited into the band, with whom the debut demo "Miss Jane" was made. In 1970, the band signed a contract with Phonograms, a division of Vertigo Records, and began recording their debut album. The Warhorse album was released in November 1970. The song "St. Louis" (a cover of "Easybeats") was released as a single and was most popular with the public. The Frank Sinatra Album is a 1962 studio album released upon Sinatra's arrival in Britain.  On May 30, 1962, Frank Sinatra's private plane, the Christina, landed at London Heathrow Airport. It was the first time that the singer appeared in the capital of Great Britain since 1953. On June 1, Sinatra was scheduled to perform a charity concert at midnight at the Royal Festival Hall in London in front of an audience that included many British celebrities and dignitaries, including Queen Elizabeth II's younger sister, Princess Margaret. The press fueled the excitement, tickets quickly sold out, and Sinatra's concert became the most anticipated event of the year in the city. ...more

Here Gong realized 100% of their creative aspirations in the field of synthesis of psychedelia and jazz-rock. The album is simply magnificent; each song has a unique sound; perfect instrumental harmony is noticeable with a complete unhealthiness of creative ideas. I can't even say which of the three albums "Radio Gnome Invisible" is better (but it's definitely not Vol.1) All music rated the album 4 stars.  ...more

CLIFF RICHARD AND SHADOWS - SUMMER HOLIDAY -1963-FIRST PRESS (MONO) UK-COLUMBIA-33SX1472.  A rare British original rock beat band. Summer Vacation is an album of soundtracks by Cliff Richard and The Shadows for the film of the same name. This is their second soundtrack album for the film and Richard's eighth album overall. The album topped the UK Albums chart for 14 weeks. Three singles were released from the album. Before the album's release, the songs "The Next Time" and "Bachelor Boy" (on side A and side B respectively) were already hits. It was followed by "Summer Holiday" and finally "Foot Tapper" (performed by The Shadows). All three singles topped the UK singles chart. ...more
