JUICY LUCY-LIE BACK AND ENJOY IT-1970-THE FIRST UK PRESS-VERTIGO-6360014. A very rare British original of a cult album by a blues progressive British band. Lie Back and Enjoy It is the second album by the British-American blues rock band Juicy Lucy, released in 1970. Although several band members have been replaced since the release of their first album, most notably singer Ray Owen and lead guitarist Neil Hubbard, the album is considered a very strong follow-up to the first album.. Most of the songs were written by the band, although the album features added Willie Dixon songs "Built for Comfort" and cover versions of Frank Zappa's "Willie the Pimp". The album peaked at number 53 on the UK Albums Chart in November 1970. ...more

GONG - ANGELS EGG-1973-SECOND PRESS-UK-VIRGIN-V2007. A-2U/B-3U matrices. A rare British original of a cult album. The second part of the famous Gong trilogy under the general title "Radio Gnome Invisible"."Angel's Egg" is the eclecticism of the band that has risen to a new level. Here Gong realized 100% of their creative aspirations in the field of synthesis of psychedelia and jazz-rock. The album is simply magnificent; each song has a unique sound; perfect instrumental harmony is noticeable with a complete unhealthiness of creative ideas. I can't even say which of the three albums "Radio Gnome Invisible" is better (but it's definitely not Vol.1) All music rated the album 4 stars. ...more

QUEEN-A DAY AT THE RACES-1975-FIRST PRESS UK-EMI number EMTC104 Matrix A-4U/B-4U.A rare British original. A Day at the Races is the fifth studio album by the British rock band Queen, released on December 10, 1976 in the UK and December 18, 1976 in the USA.The title of the album — "A Day at the Races" — as well as the previous one, is taken from the repertoire of American comedians of the 1930s by the Marx brothers. A Day at the Races immediately came under fire from critics. Queen was accused of an unsuccessful attempt to repeat A Night At The Opera. The album turned out to be really very similar to the previous one, but this was never hidden by the musicians. May said that both records were being prepared at the same time, but one was recorded earlier and the other later. ...more

WILLY TOKAREV - OVER THE HUDSON-1983-ORIGINAL PRESS 2015 -EU-MIRUMIR-MIR100469. A rare anniversary edition of the iconic album. There he was a courier, a cleaner in a bakery, sorted through the Russian library of a millionaire, a newspaper deliveryman, became unemployed because he did not know English well, so he began to learn the language by reading American newspapers, graduated from a nurse's course, learned to drive a car, passed a taxi driving test and began working as a taxi driver to earn money for recording records, writing songs in his spare time, he was robbed four times (once, on Christmas Day, he was almost killed by a black man). In 1979, the first record "And life is always beautiful!" was released, which was not particularly noticed. In 1981, the second album "In a noisy booth" was released, which brought Tokarev fame among Russian-speaking emigrants. In the 1980s, he worked at the Russian restaurant Sadko, and then at the restaurants Primorsky and Odessa, accompanied by Irina Ola. He was called the "honorary Jew of Brighton." Willy founded his own label, One Man Band, and recorded about twenty albums there. In 1989, Willy Tokarev flew to the USSR with concerts. A major role in the organization of these tours was played by the famous entrepreneur Viktor Shulman, who himself also performed "Odessa songs" from the repertoire of Leningrad "tape recorder" bards, Boris Sichkin and other veterans of the genre. 70 concerts throughout the Soviet Union were a success. ...more
