The first album with the new keyboardist Sergio Cossu. The album's title is inspired by Jean Paul Sartre's novel Nausea, as Sartre wanted to call it Melancholia. "Melancholia" becomes an extremely successful album. The song "Souvenir", this time dedicated to the French capital, although it takes only 10th place in Sanremo, but again receives the "Critics Award", reaches 8th place in the national charts. The song "I Feel You" ("Ti sento"), reached number 1 in Italian and Belgian, number 2 in Dutch and number 11 in German charts in 1986, and became a worldwide hit, including in English-speaking countries, recorded in English ("I Feel You"). The English version of Ti sento is I Feel You, a single that was also released successfully in Italy.
