A rare Swedish original. Joyride is the third studio album by Swedish pop rock duo Roxette, released on March 25, 1991 by EMI as a follow—up to their international breakthrough album Look Sharp! (1988), as well as the off-album single "It Must Have Been Love" from the soundtrack to the movie Pretty Woman (1990). The album was recorded in 11 months in Sweden. The duo faced serious pressure from the record company to release a successful next album, and resisted the pressure that forced them to move to Los Angeles and work with experienced American producers. After its release, the album was a success both critically and commercially. In a retrospective review for AllMusic, it was called "the work of two pop artists at the peak of their careers."  Joyride topped the charts in seven European countries and achieved multi-platinum status in several regions. A rare British original of the cult blues-rock band. They were one of the bands that British Decca (USA, London/Parrot) had a relationship with during difficult times until they started selling records; it took four or five albums until they started selling in the USA. In the late 1960s and 1970s, the band managed to break into the Billboard Hot 100. The 1971 release of Street Corner Talking included the songs "Tell Mama" and "Conversation on the Street Corner". Nevertheless, superstability constantly eluded them, perhaps partly due to frequent changes in the composition. Despite this, their next album Hellbound Train (1972) entered the Top 40 album for them in the USA. In January 1974, the British music magazine NME reported that Stan Webb was joining Savoy Brown after the breakup of Chicken Shack.
