This is the first recording of the band with singer Mariska Veres. Robbie van Leeuwen acquired Veres in an attempt to emulate the shape of Jefferson's female airplane. Thanks to Veres' remarkable vocal performance and stunning appearance, the band finally had an adequate frontwoman. The band's second album was a mix of influences from pop rock to psychedelic rock. There is also early evidence of their interest in Americana, with tracks such as "California Here I Come" and "Harley Davidson". Sweet Smoke is an American band formed in 1967 and played progressive rock. This is primarily a live band known for its long, impromptu performances. It was created by Andrew Dershin, Mike Paris, Victor Sacco, Jay Dorfman and Merwin Kaminowitz in Brooklyn, New York. In the beginning, the band played in American clubs in front of a small audience. Then she moved to the Virgin Islands under the name "Ice Company", because the management of local clubs believed that the name "Sweet Smoke" ("Fragrant Smoke") and the hippie image were too provocative. After spending a short time in the Caribbean, the group moved to Germany at the end of 1969, where its members received the support of the famous German sculptor Waldemar Kuhn.
