A rare Japanese edition of the iconic album. A Collection of Beatles Oldies is a collection containing a selection of songs by The Beatles recorded from 1963 to 1966. The album was released in 1966 by Parlophone in the UK and Australia, in both mono and stereo versions. By the pre-Christmas season of 1966, the EMI label had no new musical material from The Beatles for the first time in three years. The compilation was an alternative suitable to meet EMI's demand for new products, as the band had just begun recording Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, the follow-up to their album Revolver, released in the summer. It was the first official compilation of the band's greatest hits, although the Beatles did not participate in the creation of the album. The album peaked at number six on the UK Albums Chart. The album cover contributed to the myth of "Paul is dead", as in the cover illustration, the road seems to lead directly into the head of a sitting person (as if secretly hinting: "Paul died on the road, in a car accident"). ...more

Future Legends is the debut studio album by the Northern Irish progressive rock band Fruupp. Recorded in July 1973 and produced by Denis Taylor, it was released on October 5 in the UK on Dawn Records, a subsidiary of Pye Records for underground and progressive rock music. To promote the album, the band embarked on a two-month tour, which ended on November 29 with a concert at Whitla Hall in Belfast, where they played with the Ulster Youth Orchestra. ...more

A rare British original of the cult band.  Wind and Wuthering is the eighth studio album by the English progressive rock band Genesis. It was released on December 17, 1976 on Charisma Records and is their last studio album featuring guitarist Steve Hackett. After the success of their 1976 tour in support of their previous album, A Trick of the Tail, the band moved to Hilvarenbeek in the Netherlands to record their next album, their first recorded outside the UK. Writing and recording caused internal friction, as Hackett felt that some of his contributions had been rejected in favor of material by keyboardist Tony Banks. The album received a positive response from critics and boosted the band's popularity in the United States. It reached No. 7 in the UK and No. 26 in the US and sold steadily, eventually receiving Gold Certification from the British Phonographic Institute and the Recording Industry Association of America. The rare Japanese edition of the cult album The Book of Taliesyn is the second studio album by the British band Deep Purple. It was released in the USA in October 1968 on the Tetragrammaton Records label, and in the UK in June 1969 on the EMI label. The musical style of The Book of Taliesyn is a mix of progressive rock, psychedelic rock and hard rock.[1][16][17][18][19]. Many reviewers believe that on this album the band demonstrated greater maturity and complexity of musical compositions than on the previous one. The album received a good rating in the USA, but like the previous one, it went completely unnoticed in the musicians' homeland, in the UK.
