BEATLES-MAGICAL MYSTERY TOUR (2X45-EP) - 1967-THE FIRST PRESS(STEREO) UK-PARLOPHONE-SMMT-1 matrix A1/B2/C1/D1 stamper 1GD/4MP/1RH/3AD. Magical Mystery Tour is an album by the English rock band the Beatles, released as a double EP in the United Kingdom and LP in the United States. It includes the soundtrack to the TV movie of the same name in 1967. The EP was released in the UK on December 8, 1967 on the Parlophone label, while the Capitol Records release in the US took place on November 27 and included five more songs that were originally released as singles in the same year. In 1976, Parlophone released an eleven-track album in the UK. Despite widespread criticism in the media of the film "Magic Mystical Tour", the soundtrack was a critical and commercial success. In the UK, it topped the EPs chart compiled by the Record Retailer label, and took 2nd place in the magazine's singles chart (later in the UK Singles chart) after "Hello, Goodbye". The album topped the Billboard Best Records list for eight weeks and was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category" Album of the Year "in 1969. With the international standardization of The Beatles ' catalog in 1987, Magical Mystery Tour became the only album released by Capitol that replaced the band's intended format and became part of their main catalog.

BOYD, EDDIE-AND HIS BLUES BAND FEATURING PETER GREEN-1967-FIRST PRESS UK-DECCA-SKL4872 Matrix A-1W/B-1W. A very rare British original of the cult blues album. "Eddie Boyd and his Blues Band featuring Peter Green", the second album released in September 1967 by Decca. The recording was arranged by Mike Vernon in March 1967 at Decca Studios #2 in London. The recording took place over three days – on March 14, 17 and 21. As a result, there were 16 tracks on the album, and two of them - "Dust My Broom" by Elmore James and" Save Her, Doctor "by Boyd himself - were decorated with a slide guitar by the leader of "Groundhogs", Tony McPhee. As on previous recordings, most of the material was copyrighted. Sales of the album were consistently high, and it remained in the Decca catalog until the mid-70s. The reviews of critics were also generally favorable, in contrast to the sharply negative attitude towards the previous recordings of American bluesmen with English bands, primarily Sonny Boy Williamson's live albums with "Yardbirds"and " Animals". So the reviewer of "Blues Unlimited" noted that " this is the only English session that is not spoiled by the band's playing or the level of recording. The accompanying group was adequate… Peter Green really knows how to play the guitar."   ...more
